Quinn Cook Returns to Charge

The Canton Charge, powered by the NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers, announced today that guard Quinn Cook has rejoined the team following the completion of his 10-day contract with the Dallas Mavericks.  The team has also waived guard/forward Chris Evans due to season ending injury.

Cook (6-2, 180, Duke) played in five games with the Mavericks and averaged 5.4 points on .440 shooting with 2.4 assists in 15.4 minutes per game. He was named Most Valuable Player of the 2017 NBA Development League All Star Game and is averaging 26.1 points, 6.7 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 38.9 minutes in 35 games (all starts) with the Charge this season.  He scored a franchise single game record 49 points in a win over Texas on December 7th and dished out a franchise record 16 assists in a victory over Long Island on February 8th.  Cook was also an All-Star and the NBA D-League Rookie of the year with the Charge in 2015-16.

Evans played in 33 games with the Charge this season (28 starts) and averaged 17.7 points on .449 shooting with 5.2 rebounds and 1.9 steals in 34.4 minutes per game.  The Charge roster now stands at 12 with 10 active players and two inactive players.
